
PITTSBURGH, May 13 (UPI) -- Freddy Sanchez had three hits and three RBI Sunday afternoon as the Pittsburgh Pirates routed Atlanta, 13-2.
Chris Duffy, Ronny Paulino and Jason Bay all knocked in two runs; Ryan Doumit had two hits and one RBI; Duffy had three runs and three hits; and Jack Wilson had two runs, three hits and one RBI for the Pirates -- who broke a two-game losing streak with 18 hits overall.
Winner Ian Snell (3-2) yielded two earned runs and seven hits in seven innings, with two walks and seven strikeouts.
Willie Harris and Kelly Johnson had one RBI each, and Harris had two of the seven hits for the Braves, who had a five-game winning streak broken.
Losing pitcher Anthony Lerew (0-1) gave up five earned runs and seven hits in 3 2/3 innings.
