TORONTO, May 12 (UPI) -- Danny Dichio, Kevin Goldthwaite and Maurice Edu scored Saturday afternoon as Toronto FC beat Chicago, 3-1.

The victory was the first ever for Toronto, which joined Major League Soccer as an expansion franchise this season. Toronto had lost its first four games without scoring a goal.

Dichio scored in the game's first minute. Goldthwaite's goal came in the 51st minute to break a 1-1 tie.

Toronto goalkeeper Greg Sutton made four saves.

Chris Rolfe scored an unassisted goal in the 36th minute, and goalkeepers Matt Pickens and Jon Busch combined to make five saves for the Fire (3-2-1), who suffered their second straight loss.

Chicago plays at FC Dallas next Thursday, and Toronto is home to Houston next Wednesday.
