CHICAGO, May 9 (UPI) -- Jack Wilson drove in the winning run with a 15th-inning sacrifice fly Tuesday night, as the Pittsburgh Pirates beat the Chicago Cubs, 4-3.
Wilson finished with two RBI, and Ronny Paulino drove in two runs and scored once for the Pirates, who stopped a three-game losing streak. Xavier Nady had a four-hit night and Jason Bay had three hits and scored a run.
Derrek Lee went 1-for-7 to extend his hitting streak to 15 games for the Cubs, who lost for the first time in six games. Ryan Theriot drove in two runs, and Alfonso Soriano had three hits, one RBI and one run scored -- and stretched his hitting streak to 16 games.
After Neal Cotts (0-1) gave up a leadoff single to Paulino in the 15h, Jose Bautista reached safely on a fielder's choice. Paulino reached third on a double steal attempt, and then scored the winning run on Wilson's sacrifice fly to left.
Jonah Bayliss (3-2) pitched three scoreless innings in relief to get the win, and Salomon Torres earned his 10th save, retiring the side in the home half of the 15th inning.
