MINNEAPOLIS, May 9 (UPI) -- John Danks picked up his first major league win Wednesday night, allowing three hits over 6 2/3 innings as the Chicago White Sox downed Minnesota, 6-3.
Danks had lost his first four decisions before putting together a solid outing against the Twins. He walked three, struck out four and did not give up a hit until Michael Cuddyer led off the fifth with an infield single.

Bobby Jenks worked around two walks in the ninth for his 11th save.
Paul Konerko drove in a run and scored twice to pace the White Sox, who handed Minnesota its fifth loss in seven games.
Ramon Ortiz (3-) suffered the setback, giving up five runs over six innings. Minnesota's Torii Hunter extended his hitting streak to 23 games.
