BALTIMORE, May 9 (UPI) -- Aubrey Huff's one-out homer in the 10th inning Wednesday night broke a scoreless tie and gave the Baltimore Orioles a 1-0 decision over Tampa Bay.

Huff hit a 1-1 offering from Brian Stokes over the wall in center. It was only the fourth hit of the night for the Orioles, and left Stokes with a 1-4 record.

John Parrish (1-0) worked the 10th inning to get the win after Erik Bedard had allowed only three hits and struck out 10 for the Orioles over seven innings.

James Shields started for the Devil Rays and allowed three hits over nine innings. It was Tampa Bay's fourth loss in five games.

The Devil Rays loaded the bases with two away in the 10th, but B.J. Upton grounded out to end the inning. Upton was hitless in five at bats after having had at least one hit in his 10 previous games.
