BALTIMORE, May 7 (UPI) -- Kentucky Derby runner-ups Hard Spun and Curtin are expected to join winner Street Sense at the 132nd running of the Preakness Stakes in Baltimore.

The mile and 3/16 race will be held at Pimilco on May 19, but unlike the Derby, the Preakness is limited to no more than 14 starters. There was a 20-horse field in Saturday's Kentucky Derby, the first leg of racing's Triple Crown.

"We're ready," Street Sense trainer Carl Nafzger told Maryland Jockey Club chief executive Joe De Francis.

In addition to second-place Hard Spun and show horse Curtin, Sedgefield, who finished fifth in the Derby, and 17th place finisher Teufleberg were likely entrants in the Preakness.
