
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., May 3 (UPI) -- Carlos Pena and Rocco Baldelli drove in two runs each Thursday as Tampa Bay beat Minnesota 6-4.
B.J. Upton had two hits and one RBI, Carl Crawford hit an RBI double and had two hits, Brendan Harris had a run and three hits,and Baldelli scored twice for Tampa Bay. The Devil Rays, who had an early 5-1 lead, have won three of their last four games.
Winner James Shields (3-0) gave up three earned runs and nine hits in 7 1/3 innings with two walks and eight strikeouts.
Al Reyes earned his 10th save of the season.
Justin Morneau and Jason Tyner hit sacrifice flies, Jason Bartlett and Nick Punto hit RBI singles Punto had four hits, while both Jason Kubel and Luis Castillo had a run and three hits for the Twins, who have lost three of four.
Loser Ramon Ortiz (3-2) yielded five runs and seven hits in four innings.
