MLB: Oakland 5, Boston 4 (10 innings)

BOSTON, May 1 (UPI) -- Dan Johnson's RBI double in the top of the 10th inning Tuesday gave the Oakland Athletics a 5-4 victory over the Boston Red Sox.

Travis Buck had three hits, including a two-run homer that tied the game in the ninth inning for the Athletics. Johnson also hit his first home run of the season.

Joe Blanton pitched seven innings, giving up six hits and four runs. Justin Duchscherer (2-1) pitched a scoreless ninth to earn the victory. Huston Street earned his seventh save of the season with a perfect 10th.

Manny Ramirez and David Ortiz each had two hits each for the Red Sox.

Curt Schilling worked seven innings, allowing two runs and eight hits. He struck out seven and did not issue any walks. Brendan Donnelly (0-1) took the loss by giving up the winning run in the 10th.
