MLB: Cleveland 12, Toronto 4

CLEVELAND, May 1 (UPI) -- Jhonny Peralta had a three-run homer and five RBI Tuesday to lead the Cleveland Indians to a 12-4 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays.

C.C. Sabathia (4-0) gave up three homers in the first inning but retired 16 of the last 17 batters he faced. Sabathia allowed three runs on four hits, while striking out nine in six innings.

Travis Hafner and Trot Nixon also homered for the Indians, who have won nine of their last 11 games.

A.J. Burnett (2-2) allowed seven runs on eight hits in five innings. Alex Rios, Troy Glaus and Aaron Hill all hit solo homers for Toronto.
