
LOS ANGELES, May 1 (UPI) -- Brandon Webb gave up one run in seven innings and Chris Young belted two solo homers and an RBI single Monday as Arizona pummeled the Los Angeles Dodgers 9-1.
Webb (2-1) scattered four hits and walked three batters, while striking out two. Dana Eveland and Brandon Medders each pitched one scoreless inning for the Diamondbacks, who have won six in a row since a five-game losing streak.
Orlando Hudson went 3-for-5 with a walk, an RBI and two runs scored for Arizona. Carlos Quentin finished 2-for-3 with three walks and two runs scored for the Diamondbacks, who had a season-high 17 hits.
Los Angeles starter Randy Wolf (3-3) struggled, surrendering six runs on 10 hits and four walks over 5 2/3 innings. Brett Tomko, who was scheduled to throw on the side Monday between starts, entered in the eighth, giving up two runs in two-thirds of an inning for Los Angeles, which has dropped six of its last eight.
Andre Ethier went 2-for-3 with an RBI for the Dodgers, who finished with just five hits.
