MLB: Chi. White Sox 7, LA Angels 3

CHICAGO, April 28 (UPI) -- Jermaine Dye hit two solo home runs Friday night to help the Chicago White Sox beat the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, 7-3.

A.J. Pierzynski also hit a solo homer, Tadahito Iguchi hit a two-run triple, Darrin Erstad had an RBI double and two hits, Paul Konerko hit an RBI double, while Dye and Jose Uribe both scored twice for the White Sox, who have won three of their last four games.

Winner Jose Contreras (2-2) gave up three earned runs and seven hits in 6 1/3 innings with three walks and one strikeout.

Casey Kotchman hit a two-run homer, Garret Anderson hit an RBI single and had two of the seven hits for the Angels, who had a three-game winning streak broken.

Losing pitcher Ervin Santana (2-3) was charged with four earned runs and five hits in 5 2/3 innings with six walks and three strikeouts.
