
MINNEAPOLIS, April 24 (UPI) -- Ryan Garko singled home the go-ahead run as Cleveland busted loose for four runs in the 12th inning Monday en route to a 7-3 win over the Minnesota Twins.
Victor Martinez belted a three-run homer for Cleveland. Travis Hafner finished 4-for-4 and scored twice in the win.
Torii Hunter homered for the Twins. Joe Mauer went 2-for-4 and Alexi Casilla finished 2-for-5 with a pair of RBI.
Twins reliever Jesse Crain (0-1) was on the mound in the 12th and took the loss.
Roberto Hernandez (2-1) retired the side in the bottom of the 12th to preserve the win.
Cleveland starter Jeremy Sowers allowed three runs on nine hits with a walk and two strikeouts in seven innings against Minnesota.
Carlos Silva continued his strong April by giving up three runs on seven hits with a pair of walks and six strikeouts in five frames for the Twins.
