SEATTLE, April 24 (UPI) -- Seattle announced Tuesday that SuperSonics Coach Bob Hill will not return next season and General Manager Rick Sund will be a consultant for the next year.

Team Chairman Clay Bennett and Vice Chairman Lenny Wilkens will lead the search for each man's replacement.

"Bob Hill and Rick Sund are fine individuals of excellent personal character and are basketball men through and through," said Bennett. "They were both extremely helpful to us during this challenging year of transition."

Seattle finished 31-51 this season, losing its last five games while posting the second worst record in the NBA Western Conference.
