FRISCO, Texas, April 18 (UPI) -- Starting midfielder Marcelo Saragosa has been lost to FC Dallas for 4-6 weeks because of a sprained right knee ligament.

The injury occurred in the 25th minute of the 2-1 win over his former team, the Los Angeles Galaxy, last Thursday.

He joined FC Dallas in a trade with the Galaxy in July 2006, and had started each of the first two games of the 2007 season.

In other injury news for Dallas, defender Adrian Serioux continues to rehab a left knee injury sustained this off-season.

Serioux underwent surgery on Feb. 20 after team doctors determined he had Osteochronditis Dessicans (OCD).

In his case, the injury is a bruise to the femur bone in his right leg that never fully healed or was the result of a number of continuous smaller injuries.

At the time of his surgery, it was announced that he would miss 4-6 months.
