NBA: Houston 120, Phoenix 117

HOUSTON, April 16 (UPI) -- Tracy McGrady had 39 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists Monday as the Houston Rockets outslugged the Phoenix Suns 120-117.

Houston earned home-court advantage against the Northwest Division champion and fourth-seeded Utah Jazz in the first round of the playoffs.

Phoenix won the Pacific Division and is the second seed in the Western Conference standings.

Yao Ming scored 34 points for Houston, which has won five in a row.

Amare Stoudemire scored 30 points for Phoenix, which had a five-game winning streak end. Shawn Marion added 27 points for the Suns.
