Gordon, McGrady are week's top players

NEW YORK, April 16 (UPI) -- Chicago's Ben Gordon and Houston's Tracy McGrady have been selected the NBA players of the week, the league said Monday.

Gordon was picked the NBA Eastern Conference player of the week after averaging 24.3 points, 4.7 assists and 3.3 rebounds a game in helping the Bulls to three victories last week. He had at least 20 points in each game and poured in 30 against Washington on Sunday.

McGrady posted an average of 28 points, 7.3 assists and 6.7 rebounds as the Rockets also went 3-0 last week. On April 14, McGrady had 25 points and 10 assists against New Orleans.
