NEW YORK, April 15 (UPI) -- The game between Washington and the Mets at New York's Shea Stadium Sunday afternoon was postponed by rain.
No makeup date was immediately announced.

The game was scheduled to conclude a three-game weekend series.
Washington next travels to New York for a three-game series July 27-29.
The Nationals play their next two games at home against Atlanta Monday and Tuesday.
The Mets are scheduled to start a three-game series at Philadelphia Monday night, but the Phillies home game against Houston Sunday afternoon also was rained out.
