
ST. LOUIS, April 15 (UPI) -- Albert Pujols hit two homers and drove in five runs Sunday afternoon as the St. Louis Cardinals pounded the Milwaukee Brewers, 10-2.
Pujols hit a three-run homer in the bottom of the first, and added a solo shot in the eighth. He also knocked in a run with a groundout in the sixth.
The slugging first baseman is batting only .186 after his biggest effort of the season.
Chris Duncan had four hits, including a solo homer. while David Eckstein, Adam Kennedy, starter Braden Looper and Scott Spiezio had one RBI each for the Cardinals, who have won three of their last four games.
Looper (2-1) allowed two earned runs and five hits over six innings, with two walks and three strikeouts.
Prince Fielder and Johnny Estrada both had one RBI for the Brewers, who had a three-game winning streak snapped.
Loser Ben Sheets (1-2) gave up eight runs in five innings.
