
ATLANTA, April 15 (UPI) -- Chipper and Andruw Jones both hit home runs Sunday as the Atlanta Braves beat the Florida Marlins 8-4.
Chipper Jones hit a three-run shot in a five-run second inning. Andruw Jones added a two-run blast in the bottom of the fifth as Atlanta built an 8-1 lead through eight innings.
Brian McCann and Matt Diaz each had two hits for the Braves, who ended a two-game slide and improved to an National League East-best 8-3.
Winner Tim Hudson (2-0) surrendered an earned run on six hits in six innings, with three walks and three strikeouts.
The Marlins got one hit and two RBI from Alfredo Amezaga, while Jason Wood drove in a run. Atlanta scored three times in the ninth but its rally fell short.
The Braves knocked around losing pitcher Scott Olsen (2-1), scoring five earned runs in the 2 2/3 innings he worked.
Andruw Jones wore the No. 42 to honor Jackie Robinson Day.
