MIAMI, April 11 (UPI) -- Prince Fielder hit an RBI single in the top of the 13th inning Wednesday as Milwaukee edged the Florida Marlins 3-2.
Overall, Fielder went 4-for-4 with three walks. Geoff Jenkins added three hits, while J.J. Hardy and Corey Hart drove in the other runs. Hardy had three hits for the Brewers, who a nine-game losing streak to the Marlins.

Elmer Dessens (1-0) picked up the win by hurling a scoreless 12th and Francisco Cordero earned his second save of the season.
Dan Uggla had two hits, one RBI and scored a run, and Mike Jacobs knocked in a run for the Marlins, who struck out 17 times in the game.
The losing pitcher was Renyel Pinto (0-1). He gave up two hits and one run in the 13th.
