PHILADELPHIA, April 11 (UPI) -- Retief Goosen Wednesday joined the field for the 2007 Exelon Invitational at Lafayette Hill, Pa.
He joins a field that includes host Jim Furyk, Charles Howell III, and Padraig Harrington.
The two-time U.S. Open champion last played in the Exelon Invitational in 2005, beating Furyk, Mike Weir and Tim Clark to win the event.
He is eighth in the latest world golf rankings, and has finished in the Top 10 in six worldwide starts this season.
"Retief is one of the most popular and successful players on the PGA Tour," said Ian McLean, president, Exelon PowerTeam and executive vice president of the Exelon Corp. "He completes an already star-studded foursome that will surely provide an amazing day of golf."
"With the addition of Retief, this is the highest ranked foursome in our nine-year history, which is a true testament of the event's success," Furyk said.
The event will be played at the suburban Philadelphia site on June 4.
