PHOENIX, April 10 (UPI) -- Orlando Hudson hit a two-out home run in the bottom of the eighth to give the Arizona Diamondbacks 3-2 victory over visiting Cincinnati Monday.

Alberto Callaspo and Chris Snyder each knocked in a run for the Diamondbacks, who ran their win streak to five in a row. Arizona starter Doug Davis gave up two runs on five hits through six innings of work. But the victory went to reliever Brandon Lyon (1-0), who threw a scoreless eighth, and closer Jose Valverde got his fourth save of the season.

Kirk Saarloos (0-1) took the loss for Cincinnati. Starter Bronson Arroyo gave up just four hits and two runs in seven innings. He struck out four and walked two.

Alex Gonzalez picked up two hits and an RBI for the Reds, now 4-3 after starting out 4-1.
