NEW YORK, April 10 (UPI) -- Tennessee's Adam "Pacman" Jones and been suspended for one season and Cincinnati's Chris Henry for eight games by the NFL for off-field incidents.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell issued a statement Tuesday saying the players had been suspended "without pay for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy and engaging in conduct detrimental to the league on numerous occasions."

The league suspended Jones for the entire 2007 season while Henry will miss half the 2007 regular season. "Each player must earn the right to be reinstated," the NFL release said.

Since he joined the NFL in 2005 Jones has been involved with police investigations at least 10 times, including an incident at a Las Vegas strip club that involved a shooting that left a man paralyzed. Las Vegas police are reportedly seeking felony charges against Jones.

Henry was arrested four times in 14 months and was suspended two games by the NFL last season.
