Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24
SAN DIEGO, April 8 (UPI) -- Kevin Kouzmanoff drove in the game-winning run in the 10th inning Sunday as the San Diego Padres edged the Colorado Rockies, 2-1.
Kouzmanoff's big hit followed a one-out triple by Khalil Greene.
Jose Cruz Jr. hit a solo home run in the eighth inning for the Padres, who won two of the three games in the holiday weekend series at San Diego's Petco Park.
The winner was reliever Scott Linebrink (1-0), who hurled a scoreless 10th inning.
Brad Hawpe drove in the lone run with an RBI single in the fourth -- one of two hits he had for the Rockies, who have lost five of their last six games against San Diego.
The loser was LaTroy Hawkins (0-2).
