Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

CLEVELAND, April 8 (UPI) -- Sunday's scheduled doubleheader between the Seattle Mariners and the Indians in Cleveland was postponed due to inclement weather.
It marked the third straight day the Mariners and Indians were snowed out.
The teams will try to play a doubleheader Monday.
They fought through three snow delays to play 4 2/3 innings Friday night, but with Cleveland leading, 4-0, that contest was postponed.
All statistics from the day were wiped out.
Snow has fallen in the Cleveland area for several days, with more forecast Monday.
Jacobs Field was covered with snow Sunday afternoon.
