Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

AUGUSTA, Ga., April 5 (UPI) -- Britain's Ian Woosnam, who won the Masters in 1991, has withdrawn from the first men's major golf tournament of 2007 because of a back injury.
He was not replaced in the field, leaving Tim Herron and Robert Karlsson to play a twosome in their first round of the Masters on Thursday.
Woosnam won the Masters in 1991, beating Jose Maria Olazabal by one stroke. However, he's missed the cut in the last six tries last Augusta National.
He has also missed the cut in all three of his European Tour starts this year.
