Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

NEW YORK, April 4 (UPI) -- Wednesday's game between the Tampa Bay Devil Rays and the New York Yankees was postponed because of rain.
No makeup date was announced. Tampa Bay next visits New York July 20-22.
The game was to mark the New York return of starting pitcher Andy Pettitte, who pitched for the Yankees before moving to the Houston Astros for three seasons. Pettitte signed a one-year, $16 million deal with New York during the offseason.
Pettitte is now scheduled to pitch Thursday night against the Devil Rays.
Jae Seo was to start Wednesday for Tampa Bay. The Devil Rays hadn't announced their starter for Thursday.
