PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla., April 2 (UPI) -- PGA Tour Commissioner Tim Finchem announced Monday the 2011 Presidents Cup will be played in Melbourne.

It will be the second time the city has hosted the event, in which the United States takes on a team of golfers from around the world, excluding Europe.

The International Team won the match play competition when it was last held in Melbourne in 1998.

The host course for the event was not announced. In 1998, it was held at Royal Melbourne Country Club.
