NHL: N.Y. Rangers 6, Philadelphia 4

PHILADELPHIA, March 31 (UPI) -- Jaromir Jagr had two goals and one assist Saturday night as the New York Rangers topped the Philadelphia Flyers, 6-4.

New York used a fast start to forge a 3-1 advantage after the first period on goals by Jagr, Thomas Pock and Ryan Callahan.

Philadelphia got its goal from Ben Eager.

New York scored three more times in the second, while Philadelphia got goals from Eager and Braydon Coburn to make the score 6-3 after two periods.

Michael Nylander had three assists, and Henrik Lundqvist allowed four goals on 37 shots for the Rangers, who have won six of their last seven games and entrenched themselves in seventh place in the Eastern Conference.

Ryan Potulny scored the other Philadelphia goal, and goaltenders Martin Biron and Antero Niittymaki combined to give up six goals on 34 shots for the Flyers, who have dropped six of seven and have the NHL's lowest point total (53).
