COL BKB (W): Tennessee 65, Marist 46

DAYTON, Ohio, March 25 (UPI) -- Candace Parker scored 16 points Sunday and Tennessee ended the post-season run of Marist by defeating the Red Foxes in the NCAA Women's Tournament, 65-46.

The Lady Vols (31-3) advanced to the regional finals, where they will take on Mississippi Tuesday night.

Marist (29-6) opened the tournament with a stunning win over Ohio State and then eliminated Middle Tennessee before running into a powerhouse team that played near its best.

Parker made all eight of her field goal attempts while Sidney Spencer and Shannon Bobbitt both scored 11 for Tennessee.

Marist was led by Meg Dahlman with 16 points, but she missed all five of her three-point attempts.

Tennessee built a 21-point halftime lead and ran its record in the NCAA Women's Tournament to 95-19.
