GLENDALE, Ariz., March 23 (UPI) -- Curtis Joseph made 22 saves as the Phoenix Coyotes held off the Anaheim Ducks, 2-1 Thursday night.

The Coyotes snapped a four-game losing streak on goals by Jeff Taffe and Bill Thomas.

Travis Moen scored Anaheim's lone goal while Ilya Bryzgalov finished with 19 saves in goal.

Taffe opened the scoring at 4:43 in the second period. Phoenix made it 2-0 late in the period when Thomas tipped in the puck on a nifty pass to the top of the crease.

Moen beat Joseph on a backhand late in the third period to make it 2-1, but Joseph turned in a couple of key saves down the stretch to preserve the win for the Arizonans.
