DETROIT, March 22 (UPI) -- Ex-Red Wing Sergei Fedorov scored in the sixth round of the shootout to give the Columbus Blue Jackets a 2-1 win over his former team Thursday night.

"Nash scored a pretty sweet goal and Vyborny scored a pretty sweet goal, so it got us to my shot. I was excited about that," said Fedorov. "I didn't really think too much about it except I knew I'm going to put a good shot on net."

Pavel Datsyuk and Daniel Cleary each scored in the shootout for Detroit, and Datsyuk had the Wings' only goal in regulation to extend his career-best point streak to 12 games.

Ole-Kristian Tollefsen had the lone Columbus goal in regulation. Fredrik Norrena made 35 saves for Columbus.
