Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24
AUSIN, Texas, March 23 (UPI) -- Former University of Texas cornerback Tarell Brown is facing misdemeanor drug charges following a routine traffic stop in Williamson County.
Brown's attorney Jamie Balagia says his client was riding in a car that police impounded and searched after discovering the driver had an outstanding arrest warrant, The Austin American-Statesman reports.
The search of the car turned up marijuana "residue" and police charged both the driver and Brown.
Brown faces a Class B misdemeanor charge punishable by up to 180 days in jail and a $2,000 fine.
