Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24
LOS ANGELES, March 22 (UPI) -- Dallas scored three unanswered points in the third period and edged the Los Angeles Kings 4-2 Wednesday night at Staples Center.
Krys Barach scored the game winner as the Stars swept the eight-game season series against L.A.
Mike Ribeiro, Antti Miettinen and Jeff Halpern also scored for the Stars while Mike Smith finished with 20 saves in goal.
Jamie Lundmark and Dustin Brown scored the Kings goals while Sean Burke made 25 saves.
Los Angeles led 2-1 early in the third period after Brown's goal, but Miettinen deflected a shot by Philippe Boucher into the net to tie it less than three minutes into the period. Barach scored a minute later while Halpern scored an empty-net goal in the closing seconds.
