Nadal wins Indian Wells title

INDIAN WELLS, Calif., March 18 (UPI) -- Rafael Nadal recorded a 6-2, 7-5, victory over Novak Djokovic Sunday to capture the Pacific Life Open at Indian Wells, Calif.

It was Nadal's first tournament triumph since last June, when he won the French Open for the second straight time.

Nadal won five times last season and 11 times in 2005. He got to the finals of this tournament with a 6-4, 6-3, decision over Andy Roddick.

The champion did not lose a set during the entire tournament.
