COL BKB: Butler 62, Maryland 59

BUFFALO, N.Y., March 17 (UPI) -- A.J. Graves had 19 points Saturday as the Butler Bulldogs beat Maryland, 62-59, in a second-round NCAA Tournament Midwest Region game.

Brandon Crone added 13 points, four assists and four steals; and Mike Green had eight points, eight rebounds and five assists for the 19th-ranked Bulldogs (29-6), who advanced to the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2003.

Butler will next face the winner of the Florida/Purdue game, which will be played Sunday.

Mike Jones scored 21 points and James Gist had 13 points, eight rebounds and four blocks for the Terrapins (25-9).
