COL BKB: West Virginia 74, Delaware St 50

MORGANTOWN, W.Va., March 13 (UPI) -- Frank Young scored 17 points Tuesday to lead the West Virginia Mountaineers to a 74-50 win over the Delaware State Hornets in the first round of the NIT.

Alex Ruoff added 14 points, nine assists and six rebounds for the Mountaineers (23-9) and Jamie Smalligan had 13 points.

The Hornets (21-12) were led by Jahsha Bluntt who scored 19 points. Aaron Fleetwood added 14 points.
