COL BKB: Kansas 88, Texas 84 (OT)

OKLAHOMA CITY, March 11 (UPI) -- Sherron Collins had 20 points and eight rebounds Sunday afternoon as second-ranked Kansas beat No. 14 Texas in overtime, 88-84, to win the Big 12 Tournament.

Kansas rallied from a 32-10 deficit with 8:19 left in the first half to trail by only 39-34 at the break and went on to win its second straight tournament title.

Julian Wright had 19 points and eight rebounds and Brandon Rush had 19 points and seven rebounds, while Mario Chalmers scored 17 points for the top-seeded Jayhawks (30-4), who have won eight straight games.

Big 12 Freshman of the Year Kevin Durant had 37 points and 10 rebounds to lead Texas.

A.J. Abrams scored 19 points and Damion James had nine points and 14 rebounds for the third-seeded Longhorns, who also lost to Kansas, 90-86 on March 3, in the regular season finale.
