Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

DENVER, March 7 (UPI) -- Free agent tight end Daniel Graham has signed a five-year, $30-million contract with the Denver Broncos.
The 6-foot-3, 257-pounder has spent his entire five-year career with the New England Patriots, who made him a first-round draft pick in 2002 out of the University of Colorado.
In his 63-game NFL career, Graham has 17 touchdowns on 120 receptions for 1,393 yards.
Last season, he scored twice on 21 catches for 235 yards.
"We think he can be a factor in the passing game, obviously," assistant coach Mike Heimerdinger told the Rocky Mountain News. "I think our history is that we're able to get the ball to the tight end."
Graham grew up in Denver, and his father, Tom, played linebacker for the Broncos (1972-74).
