ATLANTA, March 1 (UPI) -- Thaddeus Young made five of six three-pointers and scored 25 points Thursday night, carrying Georgia Tech to an 84-77 upset of eighth-ranked North Carolina.

Anthony Morrow had 18 points and Javaris Crittenton 13 for the Yellow Jackets (19-10, 7-8 ACC).

The outcome left Virginia alone in first place in the ACC with North Carolina and Virginia Tech a game behind.

North Carolina was led by freshman Brandan Wright with 22 points, but the Tar Heels (24-6, 10-5) lost for the fourth time in eight games.

Neither team made a field goal in the final four minutes.
