NBA: Philadelphia 99, Phoenix 94

PHILADELPHIA, Feb. 28 (UPI) -- Andre Iguodala scored 24 points Wednesday night and the Philadelphia 76ers prevented Phoenix from making NBA history by downing the Suns, 99-94.

Phoenix was attempting to become the first NBA team to win every road game against clubs from the opposite conference. This was the Suns' final road game of the season against an Eastern Conference foe, and they had won the first 14.

The Suns still finished with the highest inter-conference road record in NBA history at .933. The previous record had been .916, set in 1982-1983 by Philadelphia when the 76ers went 11-1 against the West.

Amare Stoudemire had 31 points for Phoenix and Steve Nash contributed 23, but the Suns never led and had a five-game winning streak come to an end.

Phoenix lost for the first time since Nash returned to the lineup from a shoulder injury.
