MEMPHIS, Feb. 25 (UPI) -- Tommy Haas recorded a surprisingly easy victory over Andy Roddick Sunday to capture the Regions Morgan Keegan Championships in Memphis.

Haas was a 6-3, 6-2, winner over the top-seeded Roddick, and became the second player to claim this event three times. Jimmy Connors was the first.

It was the sixth victory for Haas over Roddick in nine career meetings.

Haas is off to an excellent start in 2007. He reached the semifinals at the Australian Open, and is 10-2 in matches this year.
