COL BKB: Virginia 75, Georgia Tech 69

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., Feb. 24 (UPI) -- J.R. Reynolds scored 25 points and Sean Singletary scored 24 Saturday as the No. 19 Virginia Cavaliers beat Georgia Tech, 75-69.

Virginia bounced back after blowing a large first-half lead. The final three minutes belonged to the Cavaliers (19-8, 10-4 ACC).

Reynolds' three-point play brought the Cavaliers within 69-67 with 2:45 left. Jason Cain then recovered a Singletary miss and scored to tie the game at 69-69.

Thaddeus Young led Georgia Tech (18-10, 6-8) with 15 points, while Ra'Sean Dickey added 14 points and Javaris Crittenton had 12.

The Cavaliers, who at one point led 22-6, didn't make a field goal in the final 8:41 of the first half and trailed, 35-31, at the break.

A 9-2 stretch gave Georgia Tech a 58-52 lead with 8:07 left.
