NHL: San Jose 2, Chicago 0

CHICAGO, Feb. 22 (UPI) -- Evgeni Nabokov stopped 21 shots Thursday night and Joe Thornton had a goal and an assist as the San Jose Sharks blanked Chicago, 2-0.

San Jose won its second straight and the Blackhawks saw their losing streak stretch to six games.

Thornton scored the only goal the Sharks needed in the opening period by beating Patrick Lalime with a wrist shot from the left circle.

The Sharks have beaten Chicago five straight times.
