NHL: New Jersey 3, N.Y. Rangers 2 (SO)

NEW YORK, Feb. 22 (UPI) -- Zach Parise and Jamie Langenbrunner scored during a shootout Thursday night to give the New Jersey Devils a 3-2 decision over the New York Rangers.

The Devils won both ends of a home-and-home series.

Langenbrunner produced the game-winning shootout goal that glanced off net-minder Henrik Lundqvist.

Parise contributed a goal during regulation, helping give the Devils their third straight win and their fourth in five games. Ed Belfour made 28 saves for New Jersey.

The Devils scored the last goal of regulation -- a rebound by Parise with 7:13 remaining in the third period.
