ASHBURN, Va., Feb. 22 (UPI) -- Four-time Pro Bowl defensive back Troy Vincent has been released by the Washington Redskins.
Vincent, 35, played eight games with Washington this past season after being released by Buffalo in October. A 15-year veteran, Vincent has played for four NFL teams in his career.
Vincent was voted the Walter Payton Man of the Year following the 2002 season for his volunteer and charity work. He was selected to Pro Bowls each season from 2000-03.
Vincent posted a career-high 102 tackles and four interceptions in 2005 while starting 16 games for the Bills. But he opened the 2006 season on injured reserve and was released midseason when the Redskins signed him.
He was drafted by Miami in 1992 and played four seasons with the Dolphins before joining the Philadelphia Eagles for eight seasons. He moved on to Buffalo in 2004.
Vincent has played in 207 NFL games, amassing 854 tackles, 47 interceptions and 5 1/2 sacks.
