GAINESVILLE, Fla., Feb. 21 (UPI) -- Al Horford helped Florida pull away early and finished with 20 points Wednesday night and the third-ranked Gators went on to down South Carolina, 63-49.
The decision ensured Florida of winning the Southeastern Conference regular-season championship.

Chris Richard scored 14 for the Gators (25-3, 12-1 SEC).
Florida, which lost its No. 1 ranking last weekend with a loss to Vanderbilt, scored 20 straight points in the first half. The Gators are unbeaten in 17 home games this season.
Tre' Kelley scored 19 to lead South Carolina (13-13, 3-10).
Florida held a 30-13 halftime lead and the Gamecocks came no closer than nine during the second period.
