ST. LOUIS, Feb. 20 (UPI) -- Lee Stempniak had a goal and an assist and scored in the shootout Tuesday as the St. Louis Blues posted a 5-4 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Bill Guerin, David Backes and Christian Backman also scored while Manny Legace made 27 saves and stopped both shots he faced in the shootout for the Blues, who have won four straight.

David Vyborny, Jason Chimera, Ron Hainsey and Rick Nash had goals and Fredrik Norrena had 31 saves for the Blue Jackets, who have lost seven of their last nine games.

Trailing 4-3 late in the third period, Columbus pulled Norrena for an extra attacker and the move paid off as Nash sent the puck past a screened Legace with 13.5 seconds remaining to tie the game and force a scoreless overtime.
