COL BKB: Alabama 72, Kentucky 61

TUSCALOOSA, Ala., Feb. 17 (UPI) -- Richard Hendrix had 16 points and nine rebounds Saturday as the Alabama Crimson Tide posted a 72-61 upset victory over the 18th-ranked Kentucky Wildcats.

Ronald Steele added 15 points and seven assists for Alabama (19-7, 6-6 SEC).

Joe Crawford had 17 points and eight rebounds for the Wildcats (18-8, 7-5), who have lost three straight. Randolph Morris added 15 points for Kentucky.

A Crawford three-pointer pulled Kentucky to within 65-61 with just over a minute left, but Alabama scored the last seven points of the game.
