BUFFALO, N.Y., Feb. 16 (UPI) -- Daniel Briere scored the winning goal 1:02 into overtime Thursday night as the Buffalo Sabres beat the Edmonton Oilers, 2-1.
Goals by Edmonton's Shawn Horcoff in the first period and Buffalo's Maxim Afinogenov in the second had the game tied at 1-1 at the end of regulation.

Ryan Miller made 27 saves on 28 shots for the Sabres, who have a four-game winning streak.
Dwayne Roloson made 29 saves on 31 shots for the Oilers, who suffered their second straight loss.
There were no power-plays goals on four combined chances.
